Adventures in Laos abound, along with the quiet and friendly nature of Lao life, there are adventures to be had for all tastes.

River rafting, Kayaking, Tubing, Fishing and more. Laos is permeated with river and there's so much to do, a water lover's paradise.

You can climb sheer rock walls and precipes, whether it's a 20m rock outcrop or a small mountain, opportunities are everywhere. Caving is very popular, as Laos abounds with natural limestone karst formations which are riddled with spectacular caves.

Trekking and cycling are the best ways to get to know the landscape, people and culture. Tours are many and bike hire is easy.

Laos is a nation of minorities, and they all have cultures and traditions that are distinct form each other. Ethnic villages are popular tour destinations and you will meet very interesting, friendly people with much to offer in history and culture.

Elephant treks and tours are beneficial activities that help fund the care of these majestic animals, once used for logging and haulage. There are several conservation groups dedicated to the preservation what is now a rare animal.

This organisation was set up by a former fire-fighter and nurse who worked for the Red Cross on emergency assistance. He gathered around him a team of 34 dedicated people from Lao and trained them in first aid. It is registered under the Lao Foundation to assist the poor and was established in 2006.
